Make Your Grass Look Green before Your Outside Party

You can truly get a lawn that is absolutely beautiful by being devoted to your lawn care, but it isn’t always easy to find the time to do it. In fact, it is precisely for this reason that homeowners enlist the help of lawn care help specialists.  You can still have a nice lawn though, even if you just have a few hours to devote to it. The guide below will provide you with some shortcuts to lawn care help and proper maintenance.

Fertilize, Weed Control, and Groom your Yard

Doing the above, of course is the best thing that you can do if you want a great looking lawn. That brings us back to the original situation though, which is the time factor. If you can manage to spend a few hours after work, on weekends, pulling leaves, fertilizing, and managing your lawn then you are way ahead of the rest of us. If you can’t find the time however, and you would really like to enjoy a decent looking lawn in a relatively quick timeframe, then you need to follow the tips that we have below.

Water Your Lawn

Grass needs water in order to grow. Make sure that you give your lawn a good deep watering a minimum of at least a couple times a week. This is critical for maintaining your lawn, and you should not forget to do it. However, if you are in a hurry, nothing can give your lawn a good green color like a splash of sprinkler. This especially works if you are having a party and you want your lawn to look great even if close inspection might reveal otherwise.

All you need to do is throw the sprinkler on the lawn both on the morning before the party, and lightly on the day of the party as well. Take note of the word “lightly” because you want your lawn to have plenty of time to dry before guests arrive. When you give your lawn these two shots of water, it will increase the speed in which your lawn will start to green up.

Mow

Another great lawn care help tip is mowing. Don’t concern yourself with making sure all of the clover is pulled up, or try dealing with all of the crabgrass before you mow it. If your guests are coming the following day, you don’t really have enough time to deal with your lawn being uneven.

Simply all that you really have to do, is mow your lawn down weeds and all the day before the party. Remember to do it in the afternoon because you want your morning water to have time to dry out.

The idea behind this lawn care help tip is that as long as its green and groomed, no one will really notice the slight differences in the texture of your yard. It is always possible of course, the somebody may take a close inspection of your yard and notice some stray clippings, but that’s getting kind of petty.  If you’re pressed for time, this could provide you with results that are well worth it. Besides, it is always nice to have the nice fresh green smell of freshly mowed lawn during an outside party.
